THIS IS MY AUTUMN

MY AUTUMN

THIS IS MY AUTUMN

in a dry winter dressing as spring,

steering my prayers to the valley below,

plucked hollow by scarecrows,

my sap seeking slumber,

letting go the stems that once dreamed the leaves

while the valley below sent forth spring,

dawns clearly the chill

upon sleepless wind sowing sterile seeds

in the meadow, reaping whispers,

this is my autumn.
